After winning the Dog Ticket and BOB under breed specialist Linda Wilson (Bonnygate), handled as usual by Matthew Oddie, Rhys went into the Gundog Group, gave a thrilling performance and was awarded Group 2 by Keith Young.
Cheered on by an enthusiastic contingent of Pointer people as well as other spectators and exhibitors Matthew and Rhys pulled out all the stops in the big ring.
Trio also gave a good account of himself and came away with two seconds hot on the heels of his Blackpool win in the Junior class. Handled on both occasions by Penny Westaway, breeder and co-owner.
We had a super day today at Tongwynlais Open show where Trio aka Penwest Pallaton JW went BOB, Group1 AND BIS!!!!! The judge was Gavin Robertson and he was handled to all these wins by Gerald Philips.
Rhys triumphs at Blackpool and tops that at EOE
Tycarreg Strangely Familyr won CC under Steve Parsons at Blackpool and CC, BOB at EOE under Linda Wilson. He was also Group 2 at EOE, thanks again to Matthew for his handling.
Penwest Pallaton (Trio) handled by his breeder Penny Westaway winning Junior at Blackpool under Steve Parsons.

Rhys' Birthday 19/11/13
Rhys would like to wish his brothers and sisters a happy fourth birthday. Looking back over the year he has amassed a collection of "green ones" starting ar Crufts RCC, WELKS CC, East od England CC and BOB, WKC CC and BOB, City of Birmingham RCC, Richmond CC, Driffield RCC, Midland Countines RCC. Trio has made a thrilling start to his show career:
Lightly shown so far he won MPD at his first Ch show at NGA. BPIB at Midland counties and Setter and Pointer. Open Show Successes include BPIBs, BOBs, PG and Group placings. Previously described as 'naughtiest puppy of the year' he has maintained his title throughout but is now getting an idea of performing in the show ring to great effect.
